Frequently asked questions
What kinds of status messages can I decode?
We cover shipping and delivery statuses (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL), payment and financial statuses, government and immigration case statuses (USCIS, IRS), HTTP error codes (404, 503, 429), network and browser errors (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED, DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN), and travel/flight statuses.
Is my status message stored or shared?
Status messages are sanitized before processing. We remove emails, SSNs, card numbers, and other identifiers. We never store raw status text tied to your identity. See our privacy policy for details.
What if the decoder doesn't recognize my status?
If no match is found in our database, we apply category rules based on keywords in your message. If that also fails, we escalate to an AI model. You can also browse our status meanings library for related phrases.
Can I use this for USCIS or IRS case statuses?
Yes. We explain government case statuses in plain English — for example, "Case Received", "Actively Being Reviewed", "Biometrics Scheduled". We do not accept case numbers and cannot look up individual cases.
